I like things that are of simple design and work superbly – and this is one of those products. I purposely used the Wine saver on a bottle 2/3 gone and waited 2 weeks to see if it lost its vacuum – the result was no loss! You just can’t ask for anything better than that. Simple to use, works great, good price – It’s a no-brainer.
The VacuVin system is a simple vacuum pump and a vacuum operated bottle stopper. Place the moistened stopper in the wine bottle and pump out the air with the hand pump. When a ‘click’ is heard, sufficient air has been removed to prevent the wine from oxidizing. The clicker is built into the hand pump.
Days later the wine is still fresh. Pull the stopper and you will hear the air rush back into the bottle. How simple and inexpensive.

Oster 4207 Electric Wine-Bottle Opener Goodbye Rabbit………. – Love food – Cubstown
What can I say. It works as advertised. Easy in, easy out, something I couldn’t always say about my Rabbit (i.e., bottle slippage on the counter at times).
My wife loves the ease of use. You no longer have to be someone on ‘roids to remove a cork and drink wine.
When I first saw this electric wine opener I was a little skeptical. I mean battery powered, come on. But after watching the review video, I thought, “give it a try”. On the first bottle of wine I opened the cork would not come out of the opener. I thought well I’ve been had. Bummer. As I looked at the situation and tried to figure out what went wrong, I noticed that the cork was turning with the corkscrew. I put my finger on the cork to prevent it from turning and it came right out!!!
I have since opened at least ten (10) bottles and every one worked perfectly. No more putting a finger on the cork. Maybe it just needed to cycle once. I love it and it makes opening wine so easy. Vinturi Tower Works Great – DRK – Philly
Finally, I’ve been waiting for this to come out. The design compliments the vine areator very well. I considered building a stand to hold the aerator but I don’t think I could of done a better job at the same cost. Great product, works perfectly and looks great. You’ll be able to fit nearly all wine glasses under it although if you use the really short kind, you may want to lift the glass up to the spout – not that big of an issue. I would reccommend it to anyone w/the vinturi wine areator.
Aerating wine does have a positive effect on almost any wine. Letting a wine “breathe” helps it open up. Most wine people like to open a bottle 15-20 minutes before drinking, or decant it (a royal pain) and swirl wine around in the glass to do this “opening up” process which softens the wine, adds complexity and character to the wine.
This device simply speeds up the process, and aerates virtually every drop. The effect is that it immediately tastes like a wine that been opened a while and swirled quite a bit already, even though you’ve just opened the bottle. Cleanup involves pouring some distilled water through the device and letting it dry.
I wish I had seen/heard/thought of this earlier as I’ve spent a lot of money and used a lot of storage space for wine decanters that take forever to clean and dry and don’t do a better job of caring for your wine. Magic Decanter Red Wine Aerator Shouldn’t work, but does – Al Johnson – Seattle, WA United States
I bought this at the urging of a friend who has one. Very elegant, well-made little machine– and darned if it doesn’t make a noticeable difference in the taste of red wine. Compared 2 glasses poured right after opening a bottle of Cab Sauv– and the decanted one tasted noticeably smoother.
Well, okay, you say, but couldn’t you accomplish the same thing by opening the bottle a bit ahead of time and just letting it breathe? Maybe not: I repeated the test after the bottle had been opened for about 4 hours, and the difference was still there.
And it’s fun: wine makes a satisfying gurgle as it runs through.
Worth the money, at least at this under- price.
When our daughter paid over for something called a “wine aerator” we thought she was crazy…then we tasted the wine…OMG!!! Okay then we had to have one of our own but, ??? I was so excited when I found the Magic Decanter on Amazon but again, a bit skeptical. After checking it out & reading the reviews I went for it & I’m glad I did! It arrived in just a few days & we happened to have friends over at the time so the test was on.
